DeRent

DeRent is a decentralized home rental platform where users mint their properties as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and offer them for rent. The platform operates on a trust-based system, where prospective tenants must deposit twice the monthly rent as collateral. This deposit serves as a guarantee in case of non-payment by the tenant. Upon the completion of the rental period, both the tenant and the property owner can evaluate each other and leave a review. These reviews allow other users of the platform to gauge the quality and reputation of both the property and the tenants. The project is built using the Multi token standard (ERC1155) to manage the user balances and the house NFTs, the Diamond standard for upgradable contracts (EIP2535), and Foundry as smart contract framework.
