HyperCore streaming is now in early access on Alchemy
Author: Uttam Singh

Teams can stream Hyperliquid order books, best bid and offer, and fills over WebSocket, served from Hyperliquid nodes we operate in Tokyo, reachable from anywhere. It runs on the same account and API key you already use for HyperEVM RPC.
HyperEVM and HyperCore, one provider, one API key. We're opening early access to a limited group of teams first, and you can request access today.
What is HyperCore streaming?
Hyperliquid runs two execution environments on one chain. HyperCore is the native trading engine, where orders, fills, and liquidations live directly in chain state. HyperEVM is the EVM-compatible environment that smart contracts run on, and it reads HyperCore state through precompiles.
HyperCore streaming pushes HyperCore data to your application the moment it changes, instead of making you poll for it. The early access release covers three kinds of data:
- Order books. Aggregated price levels (L2), incremental L2 updates, and order-level (L4) updates that carry each order's position in its price-level queue.
- Best bid and offer. Top of book only, for teams that track prices and spreads without maintaining a full book.
- Fills. Fills for specific accounts, or across the markets you select.
The HyperCore WebSocket API follows Hyperliquid's subscription format with a few changes, like a subscriptionId on every request and arrays for filters, so most clients port over with small edits. It also adds extensions, like subscribing to several markets in one subscription:
{
"method": "subscribe",
"subscriptionId": "books",
"subscription": {
"type": "l2BookDiff",
"coins": ["BTC", "ETH"],
"nLevels": 20
}
}Why stream HyperCore data from Alchemy?
Most teams build their first version on Hyperliquid's public API. It's free and you don't need an account. It's also a shared endpoint with per-IP limits on connections, subscriptions, and how many accounts you can follow, and it streams less data than a trading system usually needs.
The public l2Book feed sends the full book on every update, even if only one price level changed. It doesn't stream incremental book updates or order-level (L4) data. Teams that need those usually run their own hl-node and build an indexer on top, and then someone on the team is on call whenever that node falls behind in a busy market.
HyperCore streaming gives you that data without running the node:
- You stop running a data plane. We operate the Hyperliquid nodes and the streaming layer on top of them. Your engineers don't have to build an indexer or keep a node in sync.
- You process changes, not snapshots. Diff streams carry only the price levels that moved, so a local book stays current without re-reading the whole thing. Every update also carries the block height and block time it came from, so book changes, fills, and HyperEVM activity line up against the same chain clock.
- You keep both layers with one provider. HyperCore streaming runs on the account and API key that already serves your HyperEVM RPC and the 100+ networks we support.
If your team runs its own Hyperliquid node today mostly to get this data, early access is a chance to stop.
Who is early access for?
Early access is built for teams whose systems depend on HyperCore market data:
- Trading teams and market makers. Prop desks, market makers, and liquidation and arbitrage bots that need live books and fills.
- Oracle and risk platforms. Teams that monitor books, mid prices, and liquidations across markets.
- Wallets, brokers, and builder-code front-ends. Teams that show live Hyperliquid markets to their own users and care about breadth and reliability.
- Teams already on HyperEVM. If you run HyperEVM on Alchemy today, HyperCore streaming uses the same API key. No new account, no new API key. Once your team is enabled, turn on HyperCore Mainnet for your app in the dashboard.
We're onboarding early access teams one by one and working directly with each of them. What they tell us goes straight into the product before we open access more widely.
How do I get access?
Request early access and tell us what you're building and which data you need. If you already run HyperEVM on Alchemy, reach out to your account team and we'll set up HyperCore streaming on the key you already use.
New to Alchemy on Hyperliquid? Create a free Alchemy account and start with HyperEVM RPC today, then request HyperCore access from the same account. The HyperCore WebSocket docs walk through every stream, the connection lifecycle, and the subscription format.
HyperEVM and HyperCore, one provider, one API key. If you're building or trading on Hyperliquid, we'd like to hear what you need next.
