The methodology

A complete look at onchain activity

A glimpse into 99.8% of ecosystem traffic. Only visible to Alchemy.

  • Usage units (UU) measure compute usage on Alchemy. Different activities require different amounts of work, so usage units capture more than a simple count of requests or transactions. This includes reading blockchain data as well as submitting transactions through Alchemy. Higher usage indicates more compute activity.
  • The weekly usage ranking orders chains by total usage units in the latest complete Monday–Sunday week, measured in UTC. The percentage beneath each total compares that week with the preceding week. Incomplete weeks are excluded from the chart.
