This was crucial when usage exploded to 43,600 monthly active wallets generating 10.7M signature requests. As Gensyn's signer API costs reached 64.89B CU in May, we wrote a comprehensive technical proposal for session keys implementation that leveraged the tight integration between smart wallets and rollup infrastructure.

The solution: instead of every transaction requiring an API call, only the first login required the Signer API, with subsequent transactions signed locally using session keys.

• 98.9% reduction in signer costs from 64B CU to 1B CU per month

• $15,000 monthly savings on API costs

• 95%+ reduction in API requests (~150,000 fewer daily calls)

• Continued growth with total usage rebounding to 2.1B CU through other services
