What is Azimuth?
Azimuth is a decentralized network of passive software-defined radio receivers that extract timing from signals already on air — including LTE and 5G reference signals, digital TV pilots, and FM broadcasts — and uses time-difference-of-arrival techniques to provide positioning fixes and GPS integrity checks. Operators can contribute coverage with an Android app or a low-cost SDR dongle as node tiers come online, and applications can query the network for positioning and timing data. Pricing is freemium.
