What is IOTA?
IOTA is a Layer 1 blockchain that runs Move smart contracts on a delegated proof-of-stake consensus, paired with an EVM Layer 2 (IOTA EVM) for Solidity contracts. The network includes native modules for digital identity, asset tokenization, and on-chain notarization, with object-based execution and feeless transactions for low-value transfers. IOTA is the native asset used for staking and fees on the Move L1.
