What is JPYC?
JPYC is a Japanese yen-pegged ERC-20 stablecoin issued by JPYC Inc., the first registered yen stablecoin issuer in Japan under the Payment Services Act. Holders use JPYC on Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche, and Astar to buy Visa prepaid gift cards, shop at Visa merchants worldwide, and bridge between on-chain DeFi and everyday Japanese commerce at a fixed 1 JPYC = 1 yen rate.
