This month at Alchemy: October edition

October was a huge month across the ecosystem. We shipped a $1M credit program for Arc builders, Tokyo regional support with up to 8x lower median latency for requests from Japan, a guide to benchmarking RPC providers on your own workload, and so much more. Let's dive in.

Get up to $10k in Alchemy credits for building on Arc

Alchemy Arc credit program

We launched a $1M fund for teams building on Arc.

Credits cover Node RPC, WebSockets, Data APIs, Webhooks, and gasless transactions. Teams starting to scale get $1,000 for three months, and teams with significant production volume can get up to $10,000 for 12 months.

Tokyo is live, with up to 8x lower median latency

Alchemy Tokyo regional support

Node RPC, WebSockets, and Dedicated Clusters now run in Tokyo.

For requests routing to Tokyo, median latency is up to 8x lower, about 70ms less per call, and p95 drops by up to about 76%. There's no new endpoint and no migration, because we route each request to the closest region automatically.

Cash App brings stablecoin payments to 59M monthly active users

Cash App and Alchemy case study

Cash App uses Alchemy Node RPC APIs on EVM networks and Solana to match balances to chain state, and Webhooks to update customers within seconds of settlement. We help them execute 3.5 million reconciliation checks and roughly 360,000 webhook events a day. Other B2C and B2B financial apps like Slash, AllScale, and Pana run payments on Alchemy too, so see the full stablecoin payments roundup.

Benchmark RPC providers on your own workload

How to benchmark RPC providers

A provider that's fast on average can still be slow on the one call your app makes most.

Our guide covers three things to measure separately: latency under load, block lag, and data consistency. It shows how to run a fair test on the methods your app calls, from where it runs, and introduces RPCbench, a single binary that runs the benchmark from your own machine.

230+ agents now watch the nodes behind your apps

On-call agents for every blockchain

Every network we run has its own on-call agent. The agents resolve about 73% of alerts without a human. That means faster fixes when a node on a network you build on has a problem, and the median time to resolve a node alert is now 3.5x faster.
