Aurora
Aurora is an EVM Layer 2 on NEAR Protocol, running as a smart contract that inherits NEAR's validators and one-second finality.

What is Aurora?
Aurora is an EVM Layer 2 deployed as a smart contract on NEAR Protocol, so it inherits NEAR's validators, consensus, and one-second finality without running a separate sequencer. The Rainbow Bridge moves assets between Ethereum, NEAR, and Aurora, and Aurora Cloud lets teams launch dedicated EVM chains called Virtual Chains. AURORA is the governance token, while ETH is used to pay gas on the base chain.
